Self-Assessment - The Penalties Become More Certain

An automatic £100 penalty for late filing of the Tax Return has been with us since the introduction of Self Assessment.

It’s All In The Timing - Tax Relief On Capital Spending On Plant And Fixtures

The Annual Investment Allowance was introduced in April 2008, and allows a 100% deduction for spending on plant and machinery, including fixtures and fittings. The allowance currently applies to the first £100,000 of expenditure. However, the allowance will be reduced to £25,000 from April 2012.

Tax Avoidance Scheme On Payments Derived From UK Based Employers

We are aware of a number of avoidance schemes that seek to avoid tax and national insurance on loans or payments to directors and employees.
