CORPORATE TAX SENIOR - or MANAGER - BRISTOL. £500 Joining Fee for Direct Applicants

Hours: Full time
 
Role: Mostly corporate tax work with some mixed tax planning
 
Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 depending upon experience

We are looking to recruit an experienced Corporate Tax Senior, or newly promoted Corporate Tax Manager who will have a portfolio of clients, providing tax compliance services & assistance with advisory and consultancy services to our clients, based in our Bristol office.

Responsible for:
Dealing with a wide ranging portfolio of tax department clients, providing tax compliance services and assistance with advisory and consultancy services. You will be dealing with compliance for corporate tax clients and advisory work for mainly corporate tax clients and some personal tax clients.
 
 
The role:
Undertaking client tax work using the firm’s office manual and client care procedures to ensure all department assignments are completed to the same high standard
Accurately completing all assignments within agreed timetables to ensure assignments are completed on time
Investigating and resolving (where possible) problems arising during the assignments and notifying tax manager/partner of unresolved problems to ensure they are addressed on time
Recording work in a clear and concise manner, ensuring all working papers are legible and well presented to allow other team members to clearly understand the work completed
Ensuring all outgoing work is proof-read and authorised according to the firm’s procedures
Keeping partners up-to-date on all dealings with the clients
Maintaining time-recording on client affairs on a daily basis in accordance with the firms procedures
Supervising staff and assisting with their professional development, encouraging them to produce a high quality of work at all times
Liaising with the Corporate Services department on clients tax issues as required
Liaising with other departments as necessary on client affairs
Marketing the firm and helping to bring in new clients at every available opportunity
Keeping technically up-to-date with company, tax and other relevant legislation
Observing office manuals and instruction books issued by the partners from time-to-time
Ensuring computer skills are developed and maintained to ensure effective completion of work
 
The person: 
You will have gained solid experience working in corporate tax. We are looking for a well-organised, enthusiastic, self-motivated team player, with a thorough, systematic approach, and the ability to work to deadlines, who is keen to build on their practical experience. This is an outstanding career opportunity with potential to develop within the firm. You must be confident, outgoing, a good communicator and not afraid to work with clients, and have proficient clerical and IT skills.
 
 
 
Qualifications:
You will need to be CTA qualified (at least 1 year post qualification) and worked within an accountancy background practice with the competence to deal with managing a portfolio or corporate tax and personal tax clients. Good basic qualifications - GCSE maths and English ideally grade B – minimum grade C.
