Alan initially trained with HM Revenues & Customs before joining one of the ‘Big 4’. He joined Bishop Fleming as a manager 25 years ago and is now director of the firm’s Private Client Services team. Alan devotes most of his time advising high net worth individuals who have cross border business interests with a particular emphasis to those with offshore trusts , capital gains or inheritance tax issues. In addition Alan has considerable experience in handling tax investigations involving non disclosure of assets/income arising overseas and negotiating settlement with HMRC up to Special Civil Investigations Unit level.
