Jonathan is recognised as one of the South West’s leading Corporate Finance experts. Having trained and qualified with a 'Big 4' accountancy firm, he then spent seven years as a Group Financial Controller of a London-listed international group of companies, responsible for group financial management, and managing acquisitions, disposals and post-acquisition integration. He joined Bishop Fleming in 1999, and was instrumental in the creation of the firm’s Corporate Finance department and now provides Bishop Fleming’s clients with expert advice on acquisitions, company sales, transaction support, succession advice and re-financing.
Since the banking crisis, he has also concentrated on Turnaround, Business Reconstruction and Insolvency and qualified as an Insolvency Practitioner in 2009.
In addition to his corporate finance role, Jonathan has extensive experience with clients in the renewable energy and recycling sectors. These include biofuels, tidal, wind farms, plastics recycling, and electrical waste disposal. He has also acted as corporate adviser to the UK’s only 100% renewable electricity supplier and was instrumental in their PLUS Markets listing.
