Jonathan is a Partner in the Business Recovery and Insolvency team. He is a qualified Insolvency Practitioner (Member of the Association of Business Recovery Professionals), a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and a holder of the ICAEW Corporate Finance Qualification.
He trained and qualified with a 'Big 4' accountancy firm, following which he spent seven years as the Group Financial Controller of a London-listed international group of companies.
He joined Bishop Fleming in 1999, and was instrumental in the creation of the firm’s Corporate Finance department; he is recognised as one of the South West’s leading Corporate Finance experts.
Since the banking crisis, he has concentrated on Turnaround, Business Reconstruction and Insolvency, as well as continuing to work with the firm’s clients on refinancing and investment, transaction support and business succession.

In addition to his Business Recovery and Insolvency role, Jonathan has extensive experience with clients in the renewable energy and recycling sectors. These include biofuels, tidal, wind farms, plastics recycling, and electrical waste disposal. He has also acted as corporate adviser to the UK’s only 100% renewable electricity supplier and was instrumental in their PLUS Markets listing.
The firm is a Corporate Adviser on Plus Markets, and Jonathan continues to act for clients on this market.
