Saving for a rainy day?

Bishop Fleming Independent Financial Advisers are truly independent - we’re not tied to any one insurance or investment group - and we can therefore act throughout the whole of the market in your best interests.

Our highly trained consultants hold excellent qualifications from the Chartered Insurance Institute, and have significant industry experience. Additionally, all our consultants are salaried employees, as we believe this is the most appropriate way to provide our clients with impartial advice.

Bishop Fleming Independent Financial Advisers is a subsidiary of Bishop Fleming, one of the South West’s leading chartered accountants and business advisers, and a top 50 firm nationally. At Bishop Fleming Independent Financial Advisers, we have access to all the services that Bishop Fleming can provide, from tax advice and financial forecasts, to business planning and corporate finance - services that we can pass on to you.

Our Advice Process

Whether you are a private individual, a company or a Trustee the stages of the advice process are similar:

Understanding your circumstances and requirements. Typically this takes place at the first face-to-face meeting. Only by understanding your financial circumstances and aspirations in detail can we offer you the most appropriate advice. During this initial meeting we would typically agree the basis of our relationship with you. We have a duty to know our client before transacting any business.

Analysing your needs. Using the detailed information of your circumstances we will analyse your needs and objectives, which would be agreed with you, and where relevant prioritised. By offering an holistic approach to your needs we are able to discuss with you more than you may have originally thought of. We will always be guided by you. However, as advisers we will always offer you appropriate advice.

Researching the solutions. A combination of knowledge, experience and up to date technology enables us to reach the solution that best meets your needs.

Recommendations. Advice to you is always provided in writing, and our report will be available for your consideration before you take the action recommended. We believe that the advice process is a dialogue between you and your adviser from which you will benefit by being as informed as is possible.

Implementing the advice. Once the recommendations have received your approval we will be happy to arrange investments and liaise with product providers to ensure contracts are established to address your needs. Please be aware that we do not hold client money; all cheques are made payable to the providers.

How Much Will All This Cost?

Through the independent status of Bishop Fleming Independent Financial Advisers, we are often able to obtain very competitive terms from product and investment providers.

Bishop Fleming Independent Financial Advisers are open and transparent about our costs. We will agree with you how we will be paid and the scope of the work you want us to do, before we do it.

We may receive commission, fees or a combination of both. In all cases we agree this in writing. You will not receive an invoice for work without having agreed to it beforehand. Where we will receive more commission than we required for the work done we will rebate this to you. Please ask for our details.
