Community Led Local Development (CLLD) aims to provide pathways to better economic opportunities for people and businesses in the most deprived areas of Cornwall, strengthening local availability of employment, skills and training, and developing the ability of local residents to access these.
CLLD is delivered through four Local Action Groups (LAGs) across Cornwall with each funding the activity in their area to achieve the Objectives of the Local Development Strategy.
The Enterprise Small Grant Scheme supports micro, small and medium sized businesses and social enterprises in ‘core areas’ to increase their capacity where, ideally, this leads to some degree of job creation. Grants from £1,000 up to a maximum of £9,999 are available, with a maximum contribution of up to 72% towards project costs. The funding is available until September 2022 but please note that postcode and sector restrictions apply.
Eligible costs include – capital equipment, building works, land and building acquisition, consultancy fees and direct staff costs relating to a project. There is a single application process with anticipated 6-week turnaround from application submission to decision.
