Bishop Fleming delivers record apprentice recruitment for fourth year in a row

Bishop Fleming is delighted to welcome a record-breaking number of school leavers and graduates into the business, beating last year's record of 60 apprentices.

The intake of 74 new recruits, which includes 43 university graduates, 26 school leavers and five placement students, represents a fourth year of successive growth in apprentice numbers and comes just three years since Bishop Fleming became an accredited apprenticeship Employer Provider.

Having delivered fee growth of 15.5% in 2022 to £38.4m, the firm has seen headcount grow to over 500 people for the first time - continuing the ambitious growth plans to double its size in the next few years. 

The apprentices will work across the firm’s eight offices in Bath, Bristol, Cheltenham, Exeter, Plymouth, Torquay, Truro, and Worcester.

Each trainee will receive an extensive induction plan for their first 100-days as they start to undertake their qualifications for the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), with whom the firm is a ‘Partner in Learning’.
