FCA extends some reporting deadlines up to 30 June

The FCA has followed a number of other regulatory bodies by granting temporary extensions to certain submission deadlines up to 30 June 2020.

29 April 2020

The FCA has followed a number of other regulatory bodies by granting temporary extensions to certain submission deadlines up to 30 June 2020, more information can be found here.

This announcement however comes with a health warning for regulated firms as it is not a blanket extension applying to all returns and all firms.

The extension applies only to a select group of reports and returns listed on the FCA website and extensions vary between one and two months.

The extension is from the original date of submission so a two-month extension with an original due date of 22nd May 2020 would become 22nd July 2020.

The administrative fees for late return submissions for SME firms paying less than £10,000 in annual fees and levies have also been waived up to 30 June 2020. This waiver covers all returns for relevant firms, not just those listed with extended deadlines.

We encourage all FCA regulated firms to carefully check the extension list before delaying any submission.
