Payroll team celebrate shortlisting for national award

The Payroll Team of Top 30 advisory firm, Bishop Fleming, has been shortlisted for a prestigious national excellence award by the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals.

The firm, which delivers payroll, accounting, tax, corporate restructuring and advisory services to businesses, academies and charities and private wealth advice to individuals, is in the running for Payroll Service Provider of the Year at the national Annual Excellence Awards hosted by the payroll institute.

The awards are the longest running in the payroll industry and, as such are highly competitive and a much sought-after accolade. The Payroll Service Provider of the Year award recognises firms that provide the highest quality of service to clients and have in place a rigorous training and development programme for payroll staff.

Bishop Fleming Payroll Services provides a fully managed payroll and workplace pension administration service, keeping clients up to date with all relevant regulatory changes. The team services over 900 public and private sector organisations throughout the UK, offering a BACSTEL-IP approved bureau, and continues to attract new clients as the complexity of payroll regulation increases.

The shortlisting also coincides with the start of National Payroll Week on 3 September, celebrating the work of the payroll profession with a series of events around the country.

The results of the Annual Excellence Awards will be announced at a black-tie event in Birmingham on 11 October.

The shortlisting comes after the payroll team won the South Devon Business Growth Award in 2017 for outstanding achievements in the development of innovative payroll products and services, and for its expansion of services into new markets and areas of business activity.

Earlier this year Bishop Fleming was also awarded Gold status by the independent customer services agency, Investor in Customers (IIC) for its “exceptional” service to clients.

The firm is currently ranked 30th in the UK’s national league table of accountancy firms and is ranked 26th in the Sunday Times Best Companies to Work For in 2018.
