Charlie is a driven and experienced Audit Director and business adviser to businesses in a wide range of sectors.
He joined us from a Big 4 firm, where he has worked with a range of clients across various sectors, including healthcare, housing, charities and manufacturing. Charlie has led in delivering the training in annual accounting and tax developments for finance staff.
Charlie enjoys workings with dynamic and growing organisations to advise them on the challenges they face as they develop and grow. He brings a passion for client service, a true interest in his clients and commitment to high quality delivery.
Well experienced in the preparation and audit of financial statements of a variety of different businesses, Charlie views the audit process as being more than a pure compliance exercise but an opportunity to fully understand a client's needs and identify recommendations to help that organisation to continue to grow.
Charlie is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association’s (HFMA) South West branch, the professional body for finance staff working in healthcare. He draws on his technical expertise to provide HFMA members with independent support and guidance, to promote financial management and governance approaches that really are ‘fit for purpose’ and effective.

- Experienced in managing teams to deliver rigorous and compliant audit and assurance to a wide range of corporate and public sector clients.
- Charlie also leads assignments focusing on the testing and review of accounting procedures and internal controls; he is able to make practical recommendations on how to improve client systems.
- Strong track record of preparing fully compliant financial statements under both FRS 102 and IFRS for both single and group entities.
- Charlie has led in delivering the training in annual accounting and tax developments for finance staff.
- Ensuring clients meet their reporting deadlines, providing them with clear financial information and ongoing strategic support and assistance as required.
- Liaising with other specialists across the firm to ensure clients receive a holistic professional service, including but not limited to corporation tax, payroll, VAT and corporate finance.
