What sets James apart?
James leads the Corporate Finance team. He has a wide range of business advisory experience including strategic reviews, supporting growth businesses, succession planning, business sales, acquisitions, MBOs, refinancing & outsourcing.
James has spent his career providing first rate corporate finance advice to a range of owner-managed, private, quoted and public sector clients, having worked in corporate finance in the London, Bristol and Exeter offices of international accounting firms before joining Bishop Fleming.
James has expertise in advising family businesses on significant lifetime decisions including acquisition, fundraising, partial exits and outright business sales. He also has a strong understanding of the private equity and banking markets, both from having advised corporate clients on raising funds and refinancing debt, and having advised private equity funds and banks on their investments. He has also significant experience of cross border transactions having worked with clients in the UK, mainland Europe, North America, Central America, Asia and Australia.
Clients have praised James for his commercial awareness, strategic business advice, empathy and creative problem solving.
He has an MA in PPE from Oxford University and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
