In conjunction with Torbay Quality Care Forum the Torbay and Southern Devon Health and Care NHS Trust commissioned a report into the local care home market. The aim of this report being specifically to identify the market costs within care homes as a benchmark for ongoing discussions regarding local authority fee levels. Tim and his team worked with over 100 local care homes to collate the data and presented a report setting out the underlying costs which provided an important basis for the joint working between care home owners and public sector commissioners. Tim’s knowledge of the care home sector was instrumental in this joint appointment.
