Wendy Andrews specialises in advising clients across the firm on VAT issues in three main areas – charities/not for profit, land and property and international.
Her considerable experience, including 15 years at two big four firms, gives her the ability to understand a client’s particular situation and provide tailored and understandable advice.
Wendy is currently focused on the indirect tax aspects of Brexit, and on keeping clients up to date as the negotiations proceed.
She also works with charities and not-for-profit clients, including a large number of academy schools, on the complex VAT issues they face, including the VAT liability of their income and VAT recovery methods.
Land and property continues to be the area of VAT which causes most headaches for businesses in all sectors who are buying or selling commercial property, as well as those engaged in property development, and Wendy advises a wide range of clients on issues including development agreements, the option to tax and VAT recovery.
Wendy knows the South West well, having been born and educated in Devon. She now lives near Worcester and enjoys creative writing and music in her spare time.
