The Government has published its draft 2023/24 Finance Bill, following the Autumn Statement on 22 November 2023, and includes making full expensing permanent.
From a private client perspective, the headline news was the 2% reduction in the rate of employees' National Insurance, and smaller 1% reduction for the self-employed.
The Chancellor is increasing the National Living Wage from £10.42 to £11.44 an hour from April 2024. Eligibility will also be extended by reducing the age threshold to 21-year-olds for the first time.
