How can I exit my business?

Eventually, every business owner leaves their business. However, many do not consider thorough succession planning and therefore do not leave on their own terms. It is never too early to start thinking about your exit strategy.

It is important to realise that exiting your business is not like a simple flick of a switch, but should be a tailored process, used to maximise the value extracted upon exit. Even if you are not currently planning to sell your business it is important to understand the process, making it easier to realise the full potential of the financial return when you are ready to sell or retire.

Do any of the following issues resonate with you?

  • When’s the right time to sell my business?
  • How do I prepare for retirement, sale and / or closure?
  • What is my business worth?
  • I'm selling my business, how can I get my cash from the company?
  • How can I prepare for a quick sale if needed?
  • What is a pre-pack and when should they be used?
  • How do I plan a management buyout?
  • How can I prepare for a quick sale if needed?
  • How can I pass less tax on exit?

If so, we can help. Take a look at our advisory guide on the right or contact a member of our Corporate Finance team.
