What sets John apart?
John approaches each client individually, working closely with them on a personal level to build a genuine understanding of their business. Working to truly understand the overall strategy for both the business and Directors/Owners enables him to provide tailored advice and support, and bring in specialists from around the firm to facilitate the achievement of goals and the strategy.
John’s client base spans a broad range of sectors, industries, and regions, but he specialises in working with owner-managed businesses, real estate and construction, and care and nursing homes. John brings 15 years of client experience and time in the Corporate Finance and Advisory team, giving his advice a strong commercial focus on business strategy and exit planning.
Alongside standard compliance services, John frequently delivers advisory support, including (but not limited to):
- Attends meetings and acts as a sounding board for Shareholders, Owners and Directors
- Ensures decisions are thoroughly evaluated for their commercial impact and that practical implications are fully considered
- Support with focusing on areas that will provide additional value to the business
- Advice around how businesses are valued
- Support with raising finance and/or restructuring of debt
- Support with forecasting and financial modelling
- Support with buy-side due diligence when acquiring other businesses or on sell-side due diligence when they reach an exit
John also leads on the Digital Services team, helping clients identify weaknesses in financial systems and guiding them through updates, refreshes, and new implementations. Services include (but are not limited to):
- Review of current systems to identify weaknesses and shortcomings, and identify areas for improvement or upgrades
- Support with addressing points identified from systems reviews
- Design and implementation of new Cloud financial systems
- Advice on Apps and Add-ons that would benefit the business, the sector, or the way they operate
- How to integrate AI platforms and tools into your business to streamline processes, boost efficiency, and deliver greater value to clients.
