The firm, which delivers accounting, tax, corporate restructuring and advisory services to businesses, academies and charities and private wealth advice to individuals, held a charity quiz to support St Luke’s Hospice in Plymouth.

The quiz was held at Plymouth Albion Rugby Club on Thursday 7 June for St Luke’s, in order to help their ongoing fundraising for the provision of specialist care and support to people with progressive life-limiting illnesses in Plymouth, South West Devon and East Cornwall.

Bishop Fleming’s Tax Director, Jon Sparkes, was the quiz master on the night, with the quiz’s theme being “The World Cup of General Knowledge”, covering such topics as food and drink, sport, and even a Family Fortunes-style survey round. Over 100 people took part, split into 29 teams. Quiz winners were Womble Bond Dickinson.

The sum raised came from quiz entry fees and a prize raffle, prizes for which were donated by local businesses.

Jon Sparkes said: “St Luke’s provides an amazing level of care for its patients, and our team took great delight in raising the money to help with that work. It is our chosen charity of the year”.

Bishop Fleming is ranked 26th in the Sunday Times Top 100 places to work, accredited as an “outstanding” employer. The firm is also ranked in the Top 30 league table of accountancy firms in the country.
