Bishop Fleming has advised MTM Engineering Group, backed by Waterland Private Equity, on its acquisition of TA Ronan.
London-based TA Ronan provides cable installation and jointing services to a range of public and private sector clients throughout the UK. MTM Engineering Group now encompasses MTM Engineering, CET Connect and TA Ronan.
Brendan Mee, Chief Executive Officer of MTM Engineering Group, said:
TA Ronan is a remarkable business, supported by a team of excellent people, celebrating its 75th year in business; its heritage is renowned within the UK market. The cultures and values of both TA Ronan and MTM are very much aligned, providing us with an excellent foundation for growth.
This acquisition represents the continued realisation of cabling services, with a focus on expanding operations into the UK. We are very excited about the future prospects of the business and look forward to working with the team to build on their successes to date.
Bishop Fleming provided financial and tax due diligence, along with tax structuring services, to MTM Engineering. The Bishop Fleming team advising on the deal included Phil Redgate, Corporate Finance Director, with Lindy Holland, Corporate Finance Manager and James Fisher, Transactions Tax Senior Manager.
