Leading accounting and advisory firm, Bishop Fleming have been appointed as an approved supplier to an education consortium framework, strengthening their position as the market-leader and enabling consortium members to further procure its services and award-winning expertise.
The firm, which delivers accounting, audit, tax, and advisory services, and is auditor to the largest number of academies in the education sector, has been successfully appointed to the new financial services framework of Crescent Purchasing Consortium (CPC), a charitable organisation which provides the best value frameworks to the education sector.
CPC’s Financial framework enables member schools, academies, multi-academy trusts, colleges, and universities to now access a comprehensive range of financial management and managed accounting services from Bishop Fleming, including strategic financial management planning and support; financial systems and accounting; financial governance and audit; financial training; and consultancy services.
As an existing supplier of CPC’s External and Internal Audit Framework, Bishop Fleming has an unrivalled reputation on advisory work, with a team of genuine sector experts who understand frameworks, working both at Bishop Fleming and in their own positions as Trustees of Academy Trusts.
Pam Tuckett, Head of Education said: “I am delighted Bishop Fleming have been appointed as an approved supplier of the CPC Financial Services Framework, adding additional services our clients can receive from us via the CPC.
As number one auditor to Academies in the education sector, our advisory team are leaders in our field and can advise and support Trustees in their roles as non-executives. We are committed to providing our clients with the best service possible, and I am looking forward to working alongside the CPC who are as passionate about the education sector as we are. I look forward to being able to provide services to our clients which will benefit them considerably.”
CPC was developed to fill a gap in the provision of reliable and best-value frameworks for the FE sector. It has charitable status, running as a not-for-profit organisation, with all income generated staying within the FE and Academy sectors.
Steve Davies, Director of Procurement for Dukefield Procurement who are the framework contract managers for CPC, said: “We are so pleased to have Bishop Fleming onboard as an approved supplier for the new Financial Services framework. They bring huge knowledge and skills, as well as significant experience which will benefit CPC members throughout the education sector.”
Bishop Fleming was recognised as one of the Top five Best Companies’ Accounting Firms to Work For in 2021 and is current holder of the British Chamber of Commerce’s Business of The Year Award.
