Bishop Fleming works with charity to make football dreams come true

27th April 2022

Top 30 accountancy firm Bishop Fleming have donated ten football tickets to a local charity ahead of a crucial game this weekend.

Bishop Fleming who are part of the Nexus Business Club in partnership with Plymouth Argyle Football Club have given ten tickets to Devon Mind.

The firm which delivers audit, accounting, and tax services is working with Devon Mind throughout 2022 after the charity was selected by its employees to be its Plymouth office chosen charity.

Devon Mind is a local mental health charity providing advice, information, and support to empower anyone in Devon who may be experiencing a mental health problem.

The tickets to watch Plymouth Argyle vs Milton Keynes Dons in a match that sold out as soon as the tickets went on sale and is arguably the most important game Argyle have had over the past 10 years, will be given to those who receive the charities services.

The ten ticket receivers will get to watch the Sky Bet League One Final at Home Park on Saturday 30 April, a match which is expected to be broadcast on Sky Sports and one that may see the Pilgrims secure a Championship play-off place.

Dan White, Partner at Bishop Fleming said: “I am delighted to be offering the tickets to those involved with Devon Mind. The atmosphere at Home Park has been fantastic this season with the team giving the fans something to really cheer about. The last home game of the season is always special, but this game in particular will be a great day out and those lucky enough to be in attendance will hopefully witness an important victory!”

“We are lucky enough to be working in Partnership with Plymouth Argyle and Devon Mind for 2022.”

Andre Pusey, Marketing and Fundraising Manager at Devon Mind said: “We are so grateful to the Bishop Fleming team for generously donating tickets to Argyle’s anticipated final league game of the season this Saturday.

“Thanks to their gift, a number of young people from Plymouth will now have the chance to watch a potential moment of Pilgrims history, as they fight to secure a place in the Championship promotion play-offs.

“Through our involvement in the European SPEED-You-UP project and our work with Plymouth City Council’s educational psychologist team, we are proud to be able to provide more opportunities for local young people.”

Bishop Fleming is currently one of the largest independent accounting and advisory firms in the UK with seven offices across the South West and West Midlands. It was recognised as one of the Best Companies’ Top Five Accounting Firms to Work For in 2021.
