Kwasi Kwarteng’s radical first Budget, called The Growth Plan ahead of a full Autumn Budget in November, is one of the most radical, tax-cutting Budgets ever. You have to go back as far as 1972 to find a Budget that is so focussed on growth.
There are cuts to income tax, NICs, stamp duty and corporation tax, as well as the scrapping of the onerous off-payroll rules.
NOTE: Some of the Mini Budget announcements have been reversed under new Chancellor, Jeremy Hunt.
