What sets Richard apart?
Richard is a driven and experienced Audit Partner and business adviser to predominantly, owner managed businesses in a wide range of corporate sectors. He enjoys workings with dynamic and growing businesses to advise them on the challenges they face as their business develops.
Well experienced in the preparation and audit of financial statements of a variety of different businesses, Richard views the audit process as being more than a pure compliance exercise but an opportunity to fully understand a client’s needs and identify recommendations to help that business to continue to grow.
Richard has a particular interest in the auditing and consolidation of large, complex corporate groups under both FRS 102 and IFRS and regularly advises clients on the accounting for group re-organisations and business combinations.
In addition, Richard has also worked with a large number of academy trusts since the sector was established in 2011, including providing strategic advice and support to a growing number of multi-academy trusts.

- Experienced in managing teams to deliver rigorous and compliant audit and assurance to a wide range of corporate and academy clients. Richard also leads assignments focusing on the testing and review of accounting procedures and internal controls; he is able to make practical recommendations on how to improve client systems
- Strong track record of preparing fully compliant financial statements under both FRS 102 and IFRS for both single entities and corporate groups
- Experienced in advising on the accounting implications of group re-organisations, business combinations and other complex corporate transactions
