We’d be delighted if you would join us for our Unscrambled webinar, where we will unpack some of the key areas of tax and accounting you need to be aware of. 

The UK has now left the EU, and with the transition period coming to an end in December, significant changes are likely to occur, which may have substantial implications for businesses. This webinar will be centred around Brexit, with a particular focus on the VAT considerations for businesses importing and exporting to businesses or consumers. We will also cover some key headlines from the world of corporate tax and financial reporting for companies.

The event will last no more than an hour, and will include the opportunity for Q&A.

Stephen Martin, Tax Director

Stephen is an expert in corporate tax, and acts for a significant number of businesses and shareholders across a broad range of sectors. Stephen will be sharing an overview of recent corporation tax changes, including the implications for businesses. 

Some of the areas Stephen will cover includes changes to Stamp Duty Land Tax, R&D tax credits, corporate tax rates and Entrepreneurs' Relief. 

John Talbot, Audit and Assurance Partner

John is a Partner at Bishop Fleming, providing audit, assurance and other business service support helping clients proactively manage their reporting and compliance requirements. 

John will be discussing some of the latest changes in financial reporting. He will cover areas such as COVID-19 and its impact on the year end accounts, including going concern assessments and obtaining fair values at present; changes you can expect to the wording in audit reports; carbon and s172 reporting requirements in the statutory accounts; and some other financial accounting and reporting changes.
