Top firm shortlisted for Employer of The Year award

Bishop Fleming has been shortlisted for the ‘Large Employer of The Year’ award at the Worcestershire Apprenticeship Awards.

Top 30 advisory firm, Bishop Fleming has been shortlisted for a regional apprenticeship award.

The firm, which delivers accounting, tax, advisory services to businesses, charities, academies, and individuals has been shortlisted for the ‘Large Employer of The Year’ award at the Worcestershire Apprenticeship Awards.

The awards, which are run by Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership and Worcestershire County Council celebrate the most successful apprentices and employers in the county.  

The shortlisting comes as the firm welcomed a record-breaking number of apprentices this month, just a year on from becoming an accredited apprenticeship provider. The intake of its 57 new apprentices was a 25% increase from the previous year.

Bishop Fleming now employs over 430 people, with seven offices across the Midlands and South West. The firm are a recognised ‘Partner in Learning’ with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). `11

Alison Dale, Learning and Development Business Partner, at Bishop Fleming said: "I am absolutely delighted that we have been shortlisted for the Large Employer of The Year award. Our investment in our apprentices’ is vital to our growth, helping to position the business to drive forward.

She added: "We look forward to the award celebrations in November.”

The results of the Worcestershire Apprenticeship Awards will be announced in November, where a three-day celebration will take place, replacing the traditional awards night due to COVID-19. 

The three-day event will also feature an update on the impact and challenges for apprenticeships in the country, and what the Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership and partners across the country are doing to support apprenticeships in the future.

Bishop Fleming is recognised as one of the Top five Best Companies’ Accounting Firms to work For in 2021 and is the current holder of the British Chamber of Commerce’s Business of The Year Award.
